Rumor has it that bourbon is an aphrodisiac. Whether this is actually true or pure folklore we’ll never know until scientific studies can prove it (or you can!). However, I’m willing to say that when a couple requests a custom engagement, wedding, or anniversary cocktail, I always suggest making it with this great American brown spirit. Based on my experience serving bourbon drinks for years and years behind the bar, there’s something magical about those libations when it comes to romance.
This particular drink is perfect for Valentine’s Day because it’s pink, it’ strong, and it’s made with the fantastically smooth Angel’s Envy, a bourbon that’s in a class of its own. Hugs and Kisses
2 ounces Angel’s Envy Bourbon
3 ounces grapefruit juice
½ ounce Chambord liqueur
½ lemon juice
Directions
Fill a martini shaker with ice and add the bourbon, grapefruit juice Chambord, and lemon juice. Shake well and strain into a martini glass. Surround with cupcakes and serve.
